The best tour of Isla Contoy!
Contoy is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mexican Caribbean, and also an important protected area located in the second largest chain of reefs in the world. This beautiful park is home to more than 70 species of seabirds and is 18 kilometers long and up to 800 meters wide, a completely protected area perfect for connecting with nature.
This beautiful area of the Mexican Caribbean is great for snorkeling in the Ixlache Reef. You can find corals, manta rays, multicolored fish and, with a lot of luck, sea turtles! The island also has a small museum that informs you about all the local species and a viewpoint from which you will be able to observe the different species of birds.
The doors of Contoy are open all year round for all visitors. It takes around 45 minutes in our boats to reach Isla Contoy from our marina located in Cancun.
We have departures from the entire Riviera Maya to Tulum. No matter your location, you can take the tour.
Please keep in mind that unlike visiting a museum, Mother Nature plays a very important role here. Each day presents new conditions for the Isla Contoy tours.
The only way to visit the island of Contoy is by hiring a tour since there is a limit of people who can access the island per day. It is necessary to have special permits and certified guides who are informed and promote protection from this area. So, do not hesitate to visit this wonderful place with our specially-prepared team.
Our goal is to sell a quality service and make your visit to Isla Contoy an unforgettable experience.
More Info
It is important to mention that being an island located in the open sea, sometimes the water is rough. Most of the time the conditions are very good or perfect and everything goes well. But as we all know, the sea changes every minute and the conditions sometimes include rough seas and rain.
When it’s too rough or dangerous, the harbor master closes the port. In that case, we never go out. There are also situations where we must judge the conditions on a case by case basis and make a decision.
Pick-up Time Warning
While the tour itself starts at 9:00 a.m., we will coordinate a pick-up and drop-off time with you in advance. Please be ready on the morning of the tour to depart early!
